Ana Vanchevska and Aleksej Ivanovski have been confirmed to be representing North Macedonia at the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The duo will compete in the contest on Saturday 16th November in Madrid.

MRT confirmed the duo will represent them at the contest, they have also revealed details about them. However, details about their entry will be revealed at a later date.
Ana is a 14 year old singer from Bitola, she is already known in the North Macedonian music industry as she has been taking part and winning competitions in her nation. MRT has said her future in the music industry is very promising.
Aleksej is 12, and is also from Bitola, like Ana, he has also won awards for performing in his home country. As well as being a gifted singer, Aleksej also has won awards for his studies in Maths and linguistics (English and French).
North Macedonia’s Junior Eurovision journey
North Macedonia debuted in Junior Eurovision in the first edition of the Contest in Copenhagen in 2003. Their first entry was “Ti ne me poznavaš”, performed by Marija and Viktorija. At the close of voting, the duo finished in 12th place, earning 19 points. Since then, North Macedonia have taken part in 18 editions of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The only years which did not feature a North Macedonian artist were in 2012, 2014 and 2020; the last due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2023, North Macedonia was represented by Tamara Grujeska, singing their song “Kazi mi,kazi mi koj”. At the close of voting in Nice,Tamara finished in 12th position, receiving 76 points. Of these, 39 points came from online voting whilst the remaining 37 were given by the professional juries.
