The Winners

KALUSH X NAIMES – “Аромат волосся”, KALUSH & Balsam – “Грай музикант”

The KALUSHcollab project adds new music and adds a 17th and 18th song to its catalogue. “Аромат волосся” (The scent of hair) is an emotional track with NAIMES about nostalgia and those moments where happy memories come flooding back. Balsam also returned to the studio with KALUSH, once again expertly combining his own sound and energy to this KALUSH project.

Jamala – “Усміхнися мені”

“Усміхнися мені” (Smile at me) is Jamala‘s cover of the Nazariy Yaremchuk classic. Nazariy was a massive name in the Ukrainian music scene, and his daughter (Ukraine’s 2014 representative Mariya Yaremchuk) is now working on putting together an album of contemporary covers of his work. This is the first song of that project.

Ayom – “IO SONO IL VENTO” (feat. Salvador Sobral)

Salvador Sobral loves a collab, and this time he appears on the song “IO SONO IL VENTO” (I AM THE WIND) by Ayom. Ayom are an award-winning multicultural music project spearheaded by Brazilian-born artist Ayom Jabu Morales and Italian musicians Alberto and Timoteo Grignani. This song takes inspirations from many corners to create a gorgeous, gentle groovy experience.

Sertab Erener – “Bi Polar”

Once again expertly combining folk elements with pop and rock is Sertab Erener, who gives us new music in the form of “Bi Polar”. The track deals with how tough life can be, and was co-written by the artist together with Emrah Demiralp (İrem Derici, Emre Altuğ, Gece Yolculari). Production was done by Sertab’s go-to Emre Kula.

Nicole – “Lass den Sommer nie vergeh’n”

Germany’s first Eurovision winner Nicole is continuing with her musical comeback. “Lass den Sommer nie vergeh’n” (Never let the summer go by) is an upbeat schlager track (quelle surprise), written by David Bereuther (KEINEPANIK, TYNA, Anita Hofmann), Erdmann Lange (Daniel Sommer, DJ Ötzi, Olaf der Flipper), and Jens Carstens (Helene Fischer, Rosenstolz, Heinz Rudolf Kunze). Carstens also produced the track, together with Zoran Grujovski (Udo Lindenberg, Howard Carpendale, Heinz Rudolf Kunze), and Achim Meier (I Muvrini, Helene Fischer, Stephan Eicher).
