Despite some online speculation, Polish broadcaster TVP denied that they were in talks with JoJo Siwa to represent Poland at Eurovision 2025.
Siwa to Eurovision rumours
In a post on TikTok, the 21-year-old Siwa claimed that she was having “serious discussions” with Polish broadcaster TVP about representing them in Basel next May. This took place after her song “Today’s Tomorrow’s Today” began to climb in streaming charts in the country. Siwa was born in the US but has some Polish heritage and gained notoriety through Dance Moms and TikTok. However, TVP denied that any discussions had taken place. The broadcaster directly stated that they had not contacted Siwa or any other artists about 2025. As of the time of writing, TVP has not publicly confirmed its participation at or selection method for Eurovision 2025.
Poland’s Eurovision History
In 1994, Poland made their debut at the Eurovision Song Contest represented by Edyta Górniak with the song “To nie ja!” and placed 2nd, Poland’s best result at the contest to date. Since then, Poland has participated 26 times, qualifying for the Grand Final 16 times.
Poland selected Luna and “The Tower” to represent them at Eurovision 2024. She received 35 points in the televote, placing twelfth in the first semifinal.
