Slovenia’s Eurovision 2024 representative, Raiven, has announced a European Tour, coinciding with the release of her latest single “Mama”.
Tour starts later this month
Raiven’s ‘Sirene’ Tour, named for her upcoming EP, kicks off with “Part 1” of the tour being across four Slovenian cities, starting later this month in Piran.
Then, following a special event in Ljubljana to unveil the second part of ‘Sirene’ – marking a temporary farewell to her domestic audience before embarking on a tour of Europe in March and April 2025, with dates so far announced in Poland, Croatia and Czechia, with more to be announced.
Career firsts with “Mama”
The release of “Mama” – which is a collaboration with Croatian rapper Micka Lifa – marks a new direction for Raiven’s career. For the first time, she is singing in both Slovene and Croatian, as she attempts to express her connection to her audience across the Balkans, saying:
“During my performances at Dora, the pre-Eurovision events, and Eurovision itself, I noticed that audiences in the Balkans perceive my music differently than in Slovenia. That’s why I want to address listeners outside Slovenia with my song “Mama” and show them how much I appreciate them. Every musician dreams of reaching the widest audience possible, and that’s my goal too.”
Mama is also her first autobiographical song, with her previous work either being about other women (such as Veronika) or utilised fictional characters or metaphor. The song is a homage to her supporters, who throughout her Eurovision journey referred to her as ‘Mama’ (Mother).
She stated “This is the first song where I openly speak about myself. In the past, I always wrote about other women, fictional characters, or wrapped my thoughts in layers of metaphor to soften the directness. But this time, it took a lot of courage and self confidence to create such an honest piece. It feels like it came at just the right time: in the first part of Sirene, I wrote about other women, but now, in the second part, I’m drawing from my own experiences, what it’s like to be a woman in the music industry.”

Raiven’s Eurovision Journey
Raiven participated at Eurovision 2024 with her entry “Veronika”. Performing at the first semi-final, Raiven placed 9th, therefore qualifying for the final for the second consecutive time. At the final, Slovenia finished in 23rd place, receiving 27 points. Of these, 15 came from the jury and 12 from the televote.
