RTSH have confirmed that artists for the 63rd edition of Albania’s Festivali i Këngës will be revealed on October 10th.

Artist reveal soon after submission deadline

An Instagram post from RTSH has confirmed that the artist reveal will take place on October 10th. No location or additional information about the reveal have been given.

The artists will be chosen from submissions made to RTSH from September 27-29th, meaning a quick turnaround for the choice of artists.

About Festivali i Këngës 63

Albanian festival of music Festivali i Këngës has been how Albania has selected its Eurovision entry since its debut in 2004. This years edition, Festivali i Këngës 63, will be the first under new artistic director Elhaida Dani. Artists hoping to participate in the festival will have just three days to submit their entries, from Friday the 27th of September to Sunday the 29th of September.

Participating artists in the festival are to be revealed on October 10th. Dates for the festival itself will be revealed at a later date.

Albania’s Eurovision Journey

In 2004, Albania made their debut into the Eurovision Song Contest with Anjeza Shahini with “Image of You”, which placed 7th in the final. Since their debut, Albania has participated 20 times, and made the final 10 times. They achieved their best result in 2012, where Rona Nishliu placed 5th with “Suus”.

Besa represented Albania in 2024 with the song “Titan”. “Titan” performed in the second semi-final, where it ultimately placed fifteenth out of sixteen, receiving 14 points from the televote.
