As we get close to November, more and more participants are being revealed for this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The next country to select its representative is Ukraine where Artem Kotenko was selected with the song “Dim”.
Six artists competed to be Ukraine’s representative for Madrid
From the longlist of 15 participants, this was then reduced to six participants, who then competed to represent Ukraine in Madrid. The competing artists and their entry, and the results of the voting are as follows:

Despite having the same score, Artem won the Online Vote, which was the scoring used to select the winner of the selection.
Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision 2024 representative was selected via a mixture of Jury (50%) and Public Vote (50%). The jury consisted of ROXOLANA (Vidbir 2022 participant), Andriy Hutsulyak (Ukraine’s Eurovision 2023 representative with TVORCHI) & Vitaly Drozdov (Producer).

Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision journey
In 2006, Ukraine made their debut to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, with Nazar Slyusarchuk and the song “Khlopchyk Rock ‘n’ Roll” (Хлопчик рок ‘н’ ролл), which placed 9th. Since their debut, the Eastern European nation has participated 17 times, and even won once in 2012 with Anastasiya Petryk and her song “Nebo” (Небо).
In 2023, Ukraine selected its representative through a national final, where Anastasia Dymyd won the right to represent the nation with “Kvitka”, which managed to place 5th receiving 128 points from the jury and online vote.
