Following on from their application process, Ukrainian broadcaster Suspilne has revealed the long list that have made it to the next stage of their national selection for Junior Eurovision 2024.
15 make longlist to represent Ukraine at Junior Eurovision 2024
Following on from receiving 309 applications for the national final, Suspilne have now chosen 15 to go on to their “Star School”. Where the participants will learn about performing skills, and be successful singers will be matched with songs to compete with in the national final. following on from the “Sta School”, the participating acts will be whittled down to just 6 for the national selection.
The 15 children on the long list are as follows:

- Anastasiya Byelibov
- Bohdan Bilukha
- Vladyslav Vasytsʹkyy
- Daryna Vitsan
- Anhelina Hlohus
- Anna Doyna
- Veronika Kohan
- Ilya Konovchenko (ILKO)
- Artem Kotenko
- Vladyslava Kitselyuk (VLADA K)
- Sofiya Nersesyan
- Vsevolod Skryma
- Zlata Solenko (Zlata Solo)
- Zlata Ivaniv
Ukraine’s final selection for Madrid will take place in September, like the adult national final Vidbir the representative will be chosen by a combination of online voting and a 3 member jury.
Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision journey
In 2006, Ukraine made their debut to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, with Nazar Slyusarchuk and the song “Khlopchyk Rock ‘n’ Roll” (Хлопчик рок ‘н’ ролл), which placed 9th. Since their debut, the Eastern European nation has participated 17 times, and even won once in 2012 with Anastasiya Petryk and her song “Nebo” (Небо).
In 2022, Ukraine selected its representative through a national final, where Anastasia Dymyd won the right to represent the nation with “Kvitka”, which managed to place 5th receiving 128 points from the jury and online vote.

Great, now please loo at this article and make sure Norway’s broadcaster NRK is aware of it. Polish participating broadcaster TVP mentioned a while back in an article about the contest that a broadcaster from Norway expressed “initial interest” participating at Junior Eurovision 2024 in Madrid, but there was no final decision. Slovenia’s broadcaster RTVSLO should be happy that Junior Eurovision isn’t on Sunday anymore.
