🇭🇷 Croatia to air Junior Eurovision 2024

With under two weeks to go until Junior Eurovision 2024 takes place in Madrid, broadcasters are now revealing their schedules for the next fortnight, and it was revealed that Croatia will be airing this year’s competition.

HRT to air competition live

The news of HRT’s airing of this year’s competition comes as the schedule for November 16 was revealed, with the broadcaster set to air this year’s competition on HRT 2 live at 18:00CET. This will be the first time the broadcaster will air Junior Eurovision in 10 years since their last participation in Malta.

The airing of the competition comes after Croatia managed to achieve their best result in Eurovision, where Baby Lasgna managed to place 2nd, just behind winner Nemo, with his entry “Rim Tim Tagi Dim”.

Croatia’s Junior Eurovision Journey

Croatia was one of the first participants at the first edition of the Contest in 2003. Croatia would eventually win the first ever Junior Eurovision Song Contest, being represented by Dino Jelusić singing “Ti si moja prva ljubav”. Croatia would score a third place result the following year, before seeing a dip in results and withdrawing before the 2007 Contest.

Croatia’s most recent participation was in 2014, when Josie brought Croatia back to the Contest after an eight-year break. Singing her song “Game Over”, Croatia finished 16th in a field of 16, receiving 13 points. Croatia has since withdrawn from participation again.
