Whilst Swedish broadcaster SVT finalizes the list of artists participating in their Eurovision 2025 selection, Melodifestivalen, the rumors regarding who will be participating in the 65th edition of the competition continue to be reported. This time Linnea Henriksson, Ella Tiritiello, Fredrik Lundman and Erik Segerstedt are the latest artists to be reported as part of the line-up, as reported by Aftonbladet.
Four more acts rumoured for 2025
First up we have someone who is familiar with Mello fans, and that is Linnea Henriksson, who was part of the hosting line-up in 2020, and was due to be a Eurovision commentator in 2022, but had to pull out due to COVID. She has numerous albums under her belt, and recently appeared in “Hello Mello” as a guest act promoting her new single “Ge Inte Upp På Mig”
The next act rumoured to take part in the competition is Ella Tiritiello, who gained attention when at the age of 14, she sang a tribute to Swedish DJ Avicii on Globen Arena, which has now been renamed as Avicii Arena.
The third artist in this round-up is a Swedish Idol alumni, in the form of Fredrik Lundman, who participated in the competition in 2021, with Aftonbladet sources saying he will compete with a country song.
Completing this round-up is another familiar face for Mello fans, in the form of Erik Segerstedt, who first participated in Idol Sweden in 2006, coming 2nd to Mello veteran Danny Saucedo, and went on to compete at Mello twice. First in 2009 with Danny Saucedo as part of EDM, and in 2013 with Tone Damli, and will be the first time he will compete solo.

Sweden’s Eurovision Journey
In 1958, Sweden made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest, with Alice Babs representing them with the song “Lilla stjärna” which placed fourth. Since their debut, the Scandinavian nation has managed to win seven times (1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, 2015 and 2023).
In 2024, Marcus and Martinus represented Sweden on home soil. As the host entry, their song “Unforgettable” did not need to compete in the semi-finals. At the close of voting in the grand final, they had received 174 points. 125 points were received by the juries, while the twins received 49 points by televoters.
