🇸🇪 Two more artists rumoured to participate at Melodifestivalen 2025

Whilst Swedish broadcaster SVT finalizes the list of artists participating in their Eurovision 2025 selection, Melodifestivalen, the rumors regarding who will be participating in the 65th edition of the competition continue to be reported. This time Saga Ludvigsson and Adrian Macéus are the latest names to be reported by Aftonbladet.

Two newcomers to the competition

The first artist in this round-up is Saga Ludvigsson, who participated in both Idol Sweden and Talang, where she made the final on both occassions. In Idol, Saga was close to getting the win as she manages to place 2nd.

The other artist in this round-up is Adrian Macéus, who is an Actor, Musician, who played the lead role in Billy Elliot. In addition to this, Adrian has also donevoice acting, having appeared in the Swedish dub of “Coco”. Aftonbladet reports that Adrian have submitted entries to the competition in previous years, but this is the first instance that he will be competing.

Who is currently rumored to participate in Melodifestivalen 2025?

As reported by Swedish media for the past few weeks, the artists that could potentially be competing at next year’s competition are as follows:

SVT is set to reveal the 30 artists participating in the competition before the year’s end.

Sweden’s Eurovision Journey

In 1958, Sweden made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest, with Alice Babs representing them with the song “Lilla stjärna” which placed fourth. Since their debut, the Scandinavian nation has managed to win seven times (1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, 2015 and 2023).

In 2024, Marcus and Martinus represented Sweden on home soil. As the host entry, their song “Unforgettable” did not need to compete in the semi-finals. At the close of voting in the grand final, they had received 174 points. 125 points were received by the juries, while the twins received 49 points by televoters.
