With the auditions for Luxembourg’s Eurovision 2025 selection ‘Luxembourg Song Contest’ concluding last week, we are getting closer to finding out who will be the country’s representative for Basel as the participants for next year’s selection have been revealed.
Who will participate in Luxembourg Song Contest 2025?
The participants of Luxembourg’s Eurovision 2025 selection are:
- Laura Thorn
- One Last Time
- Rhythmic Soulwave
- Luzac
- MÄNA
- Rafa Ela
- ZERO POINT FIVE
Included in the line-up are One Last Time and Rafa Ela, who participated in this year’s selection, where they placed 6th and 5th respectively.
RTL is set to select their Eurovision 2025 representative on January 25, 2025, when the final of Luxembourg Song Contest airs.
Luxembourg’s Eurovision Journey
Luxembourg first made its debut in the first edition of the Contest in 1956, with their first entries being “Ne crois pas” and “Les Amants de minuit”, both performed by Michèle Arnaud. Since the first Contest, Luxembourg has competed a total of 38 times. Their best result was finishing in 1st place five times – in 1961, 1965, 1972, 1973 and 1983 respectively.
Luxembourg returned to the contest for the first time in 31 years in 2024. Tali, represented Luxembourg in Malmö, with the song “Fighter”. At the close of voting in the first semi-final, it was announced Tali had qualified for the Grand Final. In the Grand Final, “Fighter” received 103 points. 83 points were from the national juries, while 20 points were from the televoters.
