About ‘Fira jul igen’
‘Fira jul igen’ (‘Celebrate Christmas Again’) is a fun christmas pop song. The lyrics talks about Arwin’s nostalgia and longing for the Christmas season and all it’s trappings, looking forward to decorating the tree, watching the snow fall outside, and sitting by the fire all day. The song was written by Arwin, alongside Gustav Efraimsson (Theo, Smith & Thell), Kristoffer Strandberg (Lia Larsson, LIAMOO) and Loui Maleoko (Anis Don Demina, Klara Hammarström).
What do we think?
For a man who has FIVE Christmas songs released on his Spotify but has only been releasing music for 2 years, you’d expect Arwin to be well versed in Christmas-ing and this is no different. The song is a cute singalong bop, but with oodles of added charisma from the singer, making it a worthy addition to a Christmas playlist. The song just oozes Christmas, with all the sleigh bells added. I do want him to wear a hat and gloves in the video though, it looks chilly!
Arwin’s Eurovision Journey
Arwin is the artist name of Arwin Ismail from Haninge, Sweden. The young star will debut in Melodifestivalen in 2025. His first single ‘More Than Just A Feeling’ was released in September 2023. He has had recognition from Melfest host Edvin Törnblom, who featured one of Arwin’s songs in his podcast, and also been championed by Benjamin Ingrosso.
