After revealing that the final of Etapa Națională will take place on February 22nd, TRM has revealed that the acts that will take part in the live auditions will be revealed next Monday, January 13.
Artists & Entries to be revealed on the same day
The news of the reveal was announced by TRM on its official website, where they revealed that the artists that made it to the live audition stage will be revealed next Monday, January 13 at 16:00 local time, with the information being made available on the official Eurovision Moldova website.
The live auditions will be held at TRM studios on January 18th, with the final of the show taking place on February 22nd. At the time of writing, no specific information on which songs have qualified for the live auditions have been released. On top of this, no information on the number of acts that will qualify for the televised final has been given.
Moldova’s Eurovision journey
Moldova is relatively new to the Eurovision Song Contest, joining in 2005. Their debut entry, Zdob și Zdub, finished in 6th place, which had remained their highest scoring entry up until 2017. They were dethroned by returners Sunstroke Project and the song ‘Hey Mamma’, which finished in 3rd place. At the close of voting, Moldova received 374 points.
After representing Moldova in 2007, Natalia Barbu returned to Eurovision in 2024 with the song “In the Middle”. She received 20 points in the first semifinal, ultimately placing thirteenth and missing out on the grand final.
