We’re less than a fortnight away from knowing who will represent Poland at the 2025 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, TVP have announced a surprise wildcard addition to their national final; Teo.
Teo becomes the 11th participant
With no prior warning the Polish national broadcaster TVP have revealed that Teo Tomczuk will participate in the upcoming national final as a wildcard. TVP cites issues with Teo restoring his status as a Polish national as the reasoning for the delay in announcing his candidacy as Poland’s 2025 Eurovision entrant. At the time of auditioning the Polish-born Norwegian national did not have Polish citizenship, making him ineligible for participation, though this was waived upon him being granted citizenship on the 16th of January. TVP extended an invitation to him to become a wildcard in the final.
This is not the first change-up in Poland’s selection this year, with former JESC winner Sara James announcing she withdrew herself from the participation process prior to the announcement of the finalists.
The final of Wielki finał polskich kwalifikacji will take place on the 14th of February. You can listen to the 11 acts below. At present we do not have a running order to the show.
