Czechia’s Eurovision 2024 representative Aiko has released the song “Mi Amor” – which she submitted to this year’s Benidorm Fest alongside girlfriend Kat Almagro, who was the drummer of Megara during Eurovision.
About “Mi Amor”
The English version of Mi Amor was written Aiko herself alongside TEYA (of Eurovision 2023 fame) and Thomas Thurner (Hunger, Lena), who also produced the track.
Mi Amor is about Aiko’s love for her girlfriend Kat Almagro, who she met whilst they were both competing at Eurovision 2024, Aiko for Czechia and Kat as part of San Marino’s Megara.
In addition to the English version, a Spanish (Kat’s native tongue) version of the song is set to be released soon.

Aiko’s Eurovision Journey
Aiko was announced as Czechia’s Eurovision 2024 representative in December. This was following on from wining national final “ESCZ” with the song “Pedestal”. “Pedestal” was later revamped, and rereleased in March. Over the pre-party season, Aiko performed at five pre-parties: Pre-Party ES the Barcelona Eurovision Party, the London Eurovision Party, Eurovision in Concert and the Nordic Eurovision Party.
It was later determined that Czechia would perform in the first half of the second semi-final, and the producers placed “Pedestal” fifth in the running order. “Pedestal” scored 38 points in the second semifinal, placing eleventh and just missing out on the Grand Final.
