The Eurovision line-up is complete, pre-parties are around the corner, and spring has sprung. This of course means there is a whole lot of new music out, and I have listened to it all to find you the best and biggest music that came out this month. So let’s settle into this round-up of new music from Eurovision and beyond. This edition includes: a surprising collab with a personal favourite, remixes, and a whole bunch of music from artists that will compete in May!

If you want to jump straight to a specific section, here’s a list of pages, each filled to the brim with new music:

The 2024 entries

Jerry Heil, MONATIK & Evgeny Khmara – “ВИМОЛИВ”

This song is a bit of a convention of some of the biggest names in Ukrainian culture right now. The headline of course is two big names in pop working together for the first time as MONATIK teams up with Jerry Heil for new song “ВИМОЛИВ”. The track is based on the poem ‘Rattle’ by poet Yuriy Izdryk while composer and pianist Evgeny Khmara played the piano for this. It’s a cool song that has elements of R&B, jazz, and more.

iolanda – “Grito 2.0”, Carolina Deslandes feat. iolanda – “Tento Na Língua”

We get two pieces of new music from iolanda this month. First was a reworked version of Eurovision entry “Grito”, imaginatively called “Grito 2.0”. This was followed by a feature on “Tento Na Língua” (Tongue Twister) by Carolina Deslandes, which sees both singers work together beautifully over a fusion of traditional Portuguese sounds and a more modern production.

İlkin DövlÉ™tov – “Bayram EdÉ™k”

He just can’t stop releasing new music, can he? İlkin DövlÉ™tov is back one again, this time releasing the track “Bayram EdÉ™k” (Let’s Celebrate). And a celebration it is, with a melody that makes you want to dance and just have a great time.

Marina Satti, Saske – “ELA ELA”

Marina Satti joins forces with Greek producer and rapper Saske for “ELA ELA”, and the result is exactly what you expect. So if you are a fan of Marina Satti and/or Greek hiphop this is a pretty cool track to enjoy.

Lasse feat. ISAAK – “How it ends”

“Dein Song” is a televised songwriting contest by ZDF made for KiKA, Germany’s broadcaster for Junior Eurovision. For the finale, established artists sing the songs written by the finalists. Over the years, the show has seen the likes of Malik Harris, Duncan Laurence, Ilse DeLange, Max Mutzke, Michael Schulte, Cascada, Roger Cicero, and that are just the notable Eurovision names! While Lasse’s “How it ends” didn’t win, it does get a spot in the round-up thanks to ISAAK singing it.

Olly Alexander – “When We Kiss (t e s t p r e s s remix)”

We close off this first page on a remix, with Olly Alexander‘s “When We Kiss” getting the t e s t p r e s s treatment. This Scottish production duo make music are best known for their fast and energetic dunts, which turn this song into something that will propel you forward with whatever you are doing (such as me writing this blurb, right now).
