About “Zem Saules / Under The Solar Spell”

“Zem Saules / Under The Solar Spell” is the folk group’s fifth album, and features 10 tracks, including their Eurovision 2025 entry “Bur Man Laimi”.

Speaking about the album on their Instagram page, the band said:

“Created as a musical journey through the Latvian seasonal celebrations. Our album is dedicated to the solar and lunar calendar, the cycles of nature, and the festive days of the year that have been significant to the Latvian people for centuries-both in daily life and in the spiritual world.”

The album was written by the group themselves alongside producers Reinis Sฤ“jฤns (member of the Latvian band Instrumenti), and Elvis Lintins.

Tautumeitas’ Eurovision Journey

Tautumeitas were announced as one of the competing entries in Latvia’s Supernova with the song “Bur Man Laimi” back in November. They would go on to qualify from the semi-final before winning the selection, finishing on a total of 18 points, beating out Emilija and Citi Zฤ“ni on a tiebreak.

During the allocation draw, Latvia were drawn to compete in the first half of the second semi-final, and were later placed in the running order to perform in fourth position.
