With the race to Vienna now on questions have arisen across the continent about who will represent each country at the next Eurovision Song Contest, with Poland’s TVP hinting that it might involve The Voice in its search.

The Voice as a National Final?

What is also important to keep in mind is that Poland has yet to confirm participation at Eurovision 2026. Despite that the official TVP TikTok has made hints for it’s plans for Vienna. In a promo video for The Voice, a panning shot of the stage with the text “What if another Polish representative for Eurovision were hiding in this studio…”, and the caption “Who would you like to see on the Eurovision stage in the colours of Poland?” fuelling speculation that the national final will not be returning next year.

While Poland has not formally used The Voice to select its Eurovision entrant before, it does have a history of Eurovision connections. 2020’s Alicja and 2022’s Ochman having won the 10th and 11th editions of contest respectively.

Poland’s Eurovision Journey

In 1994, Poland made their debut at the Eurovision Song Contest represented by Edyta Górniak with the song “To nie ja!” and placed 2nd, Poland’s best result at the contest to date. Since then, Poland has participated 26 times, qualifying for the Grand Final 16 times.

Poland selected Justyna Steczkowska to represent the national at Eurovision 2025 with “GAJA”, thirty years after her first participation. She qualified for the final, ultimately finishing in 14th place with 156 points. Of these, 17 came from the jury, while the remaining 139 came from the televote.
