It’s finally time for FiK season in Albania! RTSH has announced that the list of artists taking part in the 64th Festivali i Këngës will be revealed tomorrow, 13 October.

RTSH teases the announcement

The news came through RTSH’s official Instagram account:

While no exact time has been shared, the announcement is expected to drop during the day on RTSH’s social media pages and website.

What we know so far

Earlier this month, RTSH confirmed that over 100 songs had been submitted for this year’s festival, Albania’s long-running music competition and Eurovision 2026 selection.

Producer Belioza Çoku has promised a focus on originality and live performance, with Festivali i Këngës 64 once again taking place over four nights, including the fan-favourite Night of Nostalgia.

The names fans are talking about

In true FiK tradition, rumours about who might be competing have already started circulating.
Among the artists mentioned by local media are Fifi, Era Istrefi, and Genta Ismajli, while other possible names include Enca, Evi Reçi, Vedat Ademi, Alis, and Enxhi Nasufi. None of these have been confirmed by RTSH yet.

Tomorrow’s announcement will officially kick off Albania’s Eurovision 2026 journey, as we find out who will take the stage in Tirana this December, and who could be heading to Vienna next May.

Albania’s Eurovision journey

In 2004, Albania made their debut into the Eurovision Song Contest with Anjeza Shahini with “Image of You”, which placed 7th in the final. Since their debut, Albania has participated 20 times, and made the final 10 times. They achieved their best result in 2012, where Rona Nishliu placed 5th with “Suus”.

Shkodra Elektronike represented Albania in the 2025 Contest in Basel with “Zjerm”. The duo made it to the Grand Final, where they ultimately finished in 8th place with 218 points. 173 of these came from the televote, while the remaining 45 points came from the jury.
