Local Polish outlet Wirtualne Media is reporting that changes are coming to how TVP broadcasts its upcoming national final for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest.
An end to TVP studio broadcasts
In past year’s national finals organised by TVP have taken place within a studio setting, with a limited audience capacity. Wirtualne is reporting that TVP are making plans to move the contest to an arena setting, vastly increasing the number of possible viewers. They have also speculated that the date of the national final is possibly subjected to change. It had previously been announced for the 14th of February. Wirtualne is now reporting that it is set to take place in an unspecified time in February.
What’s still to come?
- 24th of November – Submission window closes
- 14th of January – Artists and songs competing will be announced
- 14th of February – National Final to take place (provisionally)
