Scheduled to take place at the Tbilisi Olympic Palace, Junior Eurovision 2025 will now take place at the Tbilisi Gymnastics Palace.
Three weeks to go
The contest will take place on the 13th of December at 17:00 in Tbilisi. 18 countries will compete for the chance to win JESC2025 and host Junior Eurovision 2026.
The new venue has a smaller audience capacity, being able to hold just under 1,300 people, compared to 3,700 at the Olympic Palace. The reasons for this change in venue has not confirmed by GPB. Construction of the stage is underway, but it has not yet been confirmed if the latter has been downsized to adapt to the new venue.
The story of Junior Eurovision 2025 so far
Georgia will host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 after winning the 2024 edition with “To My Mom”. After initial doubts over whether Georgia would host the Contest, Tbilisi was confirmed to be the host city in May.
Following the release of the official list of participants, eighteen countries will take part. Azerbaijan, Croatia and Montenegro will return to the competition, while Estonia and Germany will withdraw.
