Dami Im recently answered fan questions about her music plans, touring and the possibility of a Eurovision return!
About Eurovision
When asked whether she might compete again for Australia, Dami acknowledged that she has been asked that question many times and revealed that she had tried to make it happen before, but “things happened” that prevented it. She didn’t rule out a future bid entirely, though she didn’t commit to participating in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Looking ahead, she teased that “big things are coming” as the 10th anniversary of her iconic “Sound of Silence” performance approaches, a hint that she’s planning something special, even if it’s not a full Eurovision comeback.
Live Shows and European Appearance
Dami also confirmed she’ll be performing at Het Grote Songfestivalfeest 2026 in Amsterdam on 13 November 2026, a major concert event that brings together well-known former Eurovision artists. She said she’s planning more European shows around that date and even asked fans to suggest cities they’d like her to visit.
New Music and Tours
During the Q&A, Dami announced new music on the way, a jazz-inspired single titled “Sight of You” is scheduled for release in the coming weeks, following her September 2025 release, “Bubble. She also revealed plans for a Stormy Weather Tour 2026, a jazz-focused tour across Australia set to begin in June 2026, with stops in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. Tickets for the tour are limited, reflecting her strong fan support.
Australia’s Eurovision journey
The most recent country to debut in the Eurovision Song Contest, Australia, debuted in 2015. Guy Sebastian represented the land down under with his entry “Tonight Again” in Vienna, where they placed 5th. Since their debut, they have participated every single year of the competition.
Australia internally selected Go-Jo to represent them in 2024 with the song “Milkshake Man. He ultimately failed to reach the Grand Final, placing eleventh in the second semi-final with 41 televote points.
