Two more exciting names have been added to the lineup of special performances at the Luxembourg Song Contest 2026. Laura Thorn and Sandra Kim will appear as guest acts during the show!

About the Performances

Laura Thorn is scheduled to deliver a special performance that will stand out from the competing entries, adding extra entertainment and variety to the broadcast. She will present her brand-new song, “Not On Me,” live in front of the audience, along with a special surprise that has yet to be revealed.

Sandra Kim is going to sing on stage too. The Belgian artist won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1986 and will perform her iconic winning song “J’aime la vie”, 40 years after her historic victory.

Those names are coming to add to some already announced guests act like Mariko and JJ! The Luxembourg Song Contest 2026 is set to take place on January 24th, 2026.

Luxembourg’s Eurovision journey

Luxembourg first made its debut in the first edition of the Contest in 1956, with its first entries being “Ne crois pas” and “Les Amants de minuit”, both performed by Michèle Arnaud. Since the first Contest, Luxembourg has competed a total of 38 times. Their best result was finishing in 1st place five times – in 1961, 1965, 1972, 1973 and 1983 respectively.

Luxembourg’s latest participation came in Basel in 2025. Laura Thorn represented Luxembourg with the song “La poupée monte le son”, qualifying in seventh place. In the Grand Final, Luxembourg finished 22nd, receiving 47 points: 23 from the national juries, and 24 from the televoters.
