🇷🇸 Luka Aranđelović (LAVINA):”PZE is the only big platform in Serbia for alternative artists to get recognition”

Ahead of Lavina’s participation in Eurovision 2026 with “Kraj mene”, Luka Aranđelović freed some time off his busy schedule amidst preparations and chatted with Tetiana.

In the interview Luka shares the the band’s experience as participants of at Sziget festival, which is an ultimate dream for every performer; gives advice to the upcoming artists looking for their listeners and performance opportunities and shares the advice Konstrakta gave them after PZE 2026. Lavina’s frontman surprised us by telling about the band’s thriving under any conditions, their nicknames and looking for the next opportunity to go to the gym. Also, Tetiana invited Luka to answer “This or That” round of questions and you should check out his answers!

Get to know LAVINA

Lavina is a Serbian progressive metal band formed in 2020 in Niš. The band’s members are Luka Aranđelović( vocals), Pavle Aranđelović (keyboards),Pavle Samardžić (guitar),Andrija Cvetanović (guitar),Nikola Petrović (bass), and Bojan Ilić (drums). They released their debut album Odyssey wth all songs being in English and a few more singles: “In Your Absence” and “Iron Will”.In 2025, Lavina performed at the Arsenal Fest in Serbian Kragujevac and Sziget festival in Hungary.

In 2026 they debuted at Pesma za Evroviziju and won both jury and audience vote by the landslide.

Serbia’s Eurovision journey

In 2007, Serbia made its debut as an independent country, having previously participated as part of Yugoslavia and Serbia & Montenegro. There, they were represented by Marija Šerifović with “Molitva”, which managed to win the competition. Since their debut, Serbia has participated 16 times (13 of which, where they qualified for the Grand Final).

Princ represented Serbia at Eurovision 2025 in Basel with his song “Mila”. At this year’s competition, Serbia failed to qualify for the Grand Final, finishing in fourteenth place with 28 points in the semi-final.
