Today, the rehearsals for Eurovision 2026 continue in Vienna. Countries rehearsing on Day 1 include Moldova, Sweden, Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Georgia, and Finland. The second to rehearse today is Sweden’s Felicia. Rehearsal’s pictures will be out in approximately 24 hours.

What did we learn about Felicia’s staging?

The production leans fully into heavy electronic beats that ripple through the arena, turning the staging into something almost physical. It’s less a performance, more an experience that surrounds the audience.

FELICIA matches that intensity visually. Dressed in a black and deep red look, she presents a darker, more refined version of what we saw at Melodifestivalen. The outfit has evolved, feeling sharper and more deliberate for the Eurovision stage.

The staging opens with a dramatic reveal. Smoke fills the stage as she emerges through it, assisted by strong wind effects, creating an almost cinematic entrance. Her masked appearance adds an extra layer of mystery, keeping the focus on the character she’s built around the song.

And yes, the mask moment is still there. As the track builds, the transition remains one of the performance’s standout visuals, now amplified further by a striking effect where a larger-than-life version of FELICIA appears to break out from the screens and into the arena.

Lighting plays a central role throughout. Lasers dominate the stage, just as they did in the national final, but Vienna adds more interaction. During the second verse, FELICIA appears to “control” the lights, moving through them as if shaping them herself. By the final chorus, those same beams frame her movements precisely, turning each pose into a calculated visual moment.

Who is Felicia

FELICIA, previously known as F and before that Fröken Snusk, has taken Sweden by storm in a remarkably short time. Celebrated for her unique voice, bold charisma, and powerful stage presence, she has reached the top of Spotify’s charts, played over 300 live shows, and won Masked Singer in Sweden. She competed in Melodifestivalen 2024 with the song “Unga och Fria,” earning a spot in the Final Qualifier. In autumn 2025, FELICIA released her first single under her own name, “Black Widow,” which swiftly rose to number three on Spotify’s Top 50 and received extensive airplay and media attention. That fall also saw her victory on SVT’s high-stakes reality competition Spelet.

Sweden’s Eurovision Journey

In 1958, Sweden made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest, with Alice Babs representing them with the song “Lilla stjärna” which placed fourth. Since their debut, the Scandinavian nation has managed to win seven times (1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, 2015 and 2023).

In 2025, Sweden were represented by Finnish group KAJ, singing “Bara bada bastu”. At the close of voting in the grand final, they had received 321 points, finishing in 4th place. 126 points were received by the juries, while the trio received 195 points by televoters.
