Denmark’s Eurovision 2026 representative Søren Torpegaard Lund has been announced as part of the cast of the upcoming musical Romeo & Julie, set to premiere in Copenhagen next year.
Søren to star in Romeo & Julie
Talent agency Team Players Agency revealed on Instagram that Søren Torpegaard Lund and actress Sara Viktoria Bjerregaard will play the leading roles in Romeo & Julie – The Musical.
The large-scale Danish production will hold its world premiere at Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen from March 6 until April 4, 2027. The musical will be performed in Danish.
According to the announcement, the production is written by acclaimed Danish filmmakers Susanne Bier and Anders Thomas Jensen. Joy-Maria Frederiksen will direct the musical, while set design will be handled by takis and choreography by Anja Gaardbo.
Tickets for the production are already available through Billetlugen, with prices ranging from 398 to 1,198 DKK.
Søren at Eurovision 2026
Søren Torpegaard Lund will represent Denmark at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna with his song “Før Vi GÃ¥r Hjem” following his Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2026 win.
Denmark will compete 10th in the second semi-final later this week. The country will be hoping to continue its recent momentum after successfully qualifying for the Grand Final in 2025.
