🇭🇷🇺🇦 LELEK team up with member of Go_A for new single “SYENKE”

Croatia’s 2026 Eurovision entrants LELEK have teamed up with NazarandQobzar of Go_A for a new release. The band have worked with the duo on new single “SYENKE”, their first release since performing on the Eurovision stage in May.

About “SYENKE”

LELEK have released their first single since performing “Andromeda” on the Eurovision stage in Vienna. The Croatian group have teamed up with NazarandQobzar, a duo who includes Taras Shevchenko who formed part of Ukrainian band Go_A, to create the song “SYENKE”.

This also marks the first release Taras Shevchenko has put out with his new duo NazarandQobzar, away from Taras’ previous work with Monokate in the group Go_A. The band Go_A represented Ukraine at the Song Contest in Rotterdam in 2021 with the track “Shum”, placing 5th in the Grand Final. They were due to perform at the 2020 contest before it was cancelled because of covid, with the song “Solovey”.

The new single blends the Ukrainian folk that we are used to from Go_A founder Taras, with LELEK’s incredible group vocals. It makes for an enchanting collaboration between the two groups. The song was written with the help of lyricist Tomislav Roso, who worked with LELEK on their 2026 Eurovision song “Andromeda”, as well as their DORA 2025 song “The Sound of my Soul”.

LELEK said of the collaboration:

“SYENKE” thematises people who, at the very beginning, often most loudly, challenge the value of others and try to hinder their growth. Through hatred, belittling and humiliation, they try to discredit someone’s work, desires and dreams, as if they can diminish what is just starting. Although the beginning can often be the most difficult because it is fragile, uncertain and exposed to the judgments of others, the song speaks of perseverance as an answer. About the strength to stay on one’s own path despite pressure from other’s. When one persistently moves forward, the “shadows” lose their proximity and strength, remaining behind, in distance and silence, alone with their barrenness, while one continues to build one’s own path in the light of one’s own choice and creation.
