Georgian broacaster GPB has revelead the title and release date of the song that will represent Georgia at this year’s contest in Ta’ Qali.
Georgia’s entry for Junior Eurovision 2026
Davit Lomidze, who had been selected in June after winning the national final Ranina 2026, will be this year’s Georgian representative at Junior Eurovision. Earlier this week, GPB announced that Davit will sing “Sun on the Rooftops” in Malta. No additional information has been revealed about the song, which will be released on September 16th.
Junior Eurovision 2026 begisn to take shape
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 is due to take place at 21.00 CEST, on Saturday 24 October, live from the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre (MFCC) in Ta’ Qali, Malta. Last year’s Contest was held in Tbilisi, Georgia, where France’s Lou Deleuze won with the song “Ce Monde”. Malta’s broadcaster PBS are hosting the Contest for the third time, having hosted the event previously in 2014 and 2016.

Georgia’s Junior Eurovision journey
Georgia is the most successful country to take part in Junior Eurovision, currently with four wins under their belt. The country joined the Junior Eurovision family in 2007 with Mariam Romelashvili singing “Odelia Ranuni”, finishing in 4th place. Georgia then won the competition the following year, with Bzikebi’s “Bzz…” and in 2011 and 2016 respectively. The country’s latest victory came in 2024, when Andria Putkaradze won with “To My Mom”.
In 2025, Georgia was represented by Anita Abgariani on home soil in Tbilisi with her song “Shine Like a Star”. At the close of voting, Georgia would finish in third place with a total of 176 points. From these, a total of 121 points came from the jury, while the remaining 55 points came from the online vote.
