French singer-songwriter, actress, and Eurovision 2025 participant Louane has released her latest single. “yeux” comes ahead of Louane’s upcoming album “watch out”, due later in the year.
About “yeux”
Eurovision 2025 performer Louane has released her latest single “yeux”. The new track from the French singer-songwriter is a personal and emotional guitar ballad, with a rockier breakdown towards the end of the song as the emotions build. The song talks about recognising pain in other’s eyes, and finding both beauty and sadness in knowing the where that pain comes from. “yeux” is full of emotion and powerful vocals, something which Louane has shown time and time again she excels at.
The last verse of the song includes the lyrics:
J’ai ces grands yeux
Pleins de bleus
Toujours ouverts
C’est rien de sérieux
Juste un hiver
Que j’ai chassé mais
Il en reste un peu
Which in the English translates to:
I have these big eyes
Full of bruises
Always open
It’s nothing serious
Just a winter
That I chased away, but
A little of it remains
The release of “yeux” comes ahead of Louane’s upcoming album “watch out”. The singer’s first full-length album release since her performance on the Eurovision stage, “watch out” is due November 26th 2026. The new single was written by Louane herself, with composition and production from Max Baby and SAM.

Who is Louane?
French singer and actress Louane was born Anne Edwige Maria Peichert, in the North of France in 1996. In 2008, she took part in L’École des stars, a French music television competition designed to find young talent in the country. Louane lost both of her parents at an early age, dedicating songs and musical performances to both her mother and her father at different points in her career. Her first musical breakthrough in France came when Louane appeared on the second season of The Voice: la plus belle voix.
Louane dedicated a cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine” during her time on The Voice to her late father, who had died just months before her first audition on the show. The singer would make the semifinals, before just missing out on a spot in the final of the competition. Following her run on the show, Louane released her debut studio album, “Chambre 12”, receiving widespread acclaim in France. Louane has also had a career as an actor in the country, both in films and on television, as well as providing the French voice dubbing for many internationally successful animated movies.
Louane’s Eurovision journey
For the 2025 Contest held in Basel, Switzerland, Louane was selected internally to represent France. The singer performed her song “Maman” in the Grand Final, with France being an automatic qualifier to the Saturday show. At the close of voting in Basel, France would finish in 7th place, earning 230 points. Of these, 180 points were awarded by the international juries. The public televote allocated an extra 50 points to “Maman”.
