Croatia’s most recent Eurovision entrants LELEK have released their new single “Ruke moje majke”. The new track is the group’s first solo release since performing on the Eurovision stage in May, and comes after June’s collaboration “SYENKE” with members of Ukraine’s Go_A.
About “Ruke moje majke”
LELEK, the Croatian 5-piece all female group who performed in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, have released their newest single. The band have this week dropped “Ruke moje majke”, alongside the accompanying music video. The song is a love letter to motherhood and the caring relationship between a mother and daughter. The title of the new single, “Ruke moje majke”, means ‘My mother’s hands’ when translated into the English language.
“Ruke moje majke” is perhaps more emotional, and less dramatic and high energy than previous LELEK songs. The track focusses on the power of motherhood and womanhood, with a slower beat than their previous DORA entries. The group themselves describe the song as being “for all the mothers who carry the love of the whole world in their hands”.
The new single was written by Tomislav Roso, who worked with LELEK on both “Andromeda” and “The Sound of my Soul”. Composition of the song comes from Marin Novaković, who co-composed the groups recent release “SYENKE”, and also provides backing vocals on “Ruke moje majke”. Filip Lacković, who has also worked with the group before, provided production and co-composition of the new single.
