The hosts for the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 have been officially confirmed. Gaia Cauchi, Destiny and Keane Cutajar will welcome audiences to Ta’ Qali this October.

Meet the hosts

Gaia Cauchi: A seasoned singer-songwriter who achieved Malta’s first victory at Junior Eurovision in 2013 with the song “The Start”. For this achievement, Gaia awarded the Ġieħ ir-Repubblika, one of Malta’s most prestigious honours.

Destiny: A singer-songwriter and television personality, she achieved Malta’s second Junior Eurovision victory in 2015 with “Not My Soul”. Destiny also represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021 with “Je Me Casse”, which placed 7th. Prior to that, she competed on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2017 and won the second season of ‘X Factor Malta’ in 2020.

Keane Cutajar: He is a broadcaster and television presenter whose experience includes live entertainment, social media content and television productions. In 2025, Keane hosted ‘Michael McIntyre Live in Malta’ and ‘Isle of MTV 2025’. One year later, he hosted Malta’s national final for Eurovision 2026 together with Gaia Cauchi and Destiny.

Junior Eurovision 2026 begins to take shape

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 is due to take place at 21.00 CEST, on Saturday 24 October, live from the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre (MFCC) in Ta’ Qali. Malta’s broadcaster PBS are hosting the contest for the third time, having done so previously in 2014 and 2016.

The story of Junior Eurovision 2026 so far

Malta will be hosting the 2026 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year in Ta’ Qali. It marks the third time that Malta and PBS have hosted the contest. Last year’s Junior Eurovision was held in Tbilisi, Georgia, where France’s Lou Deleuze won with the song “Ce Monde”. At the close of voting, she received 248 points, with 152 coming from the juries and 96 from the online vote.
