Belgium’s Eurovision 2015 representative Loïc Nottet is back with new music. The “Rhythm Inside” singer has this week released new song “libre”.
About “libre”
Loïc Nottet, who represented Belgium in the Song Contest back in 2015, has released his latest single, “libre”. The track is entirely in the French language, and sees Loïc deliver a beautiful vocal over a piano ballad backing track. “libre”, meaning ‘free’ when translated into English, details the feeling of being trapped or overwhelmed by modern life. The song talks of feeling free, taking back control of your own life, and the fear of not being enough in a world dictated by social media and the lies and opinions of others.
The new single is a beautiful song with an emotional message, showing off Loïc’s talent for emotional storytelling and vocal performance simultaneously. The accompanying visualiser for the song sees Loïc travelling across New York City in a yellow taxi, admiring the sights and feeling free with the wind in his hair, soundtracked by the new song.
The new single was written by Loïc himself, with composition and producer from longtime collaborator Léo Nocta. The track is the latest to be released on the Arty Funk music label, under licence to Sony Music France.

Who is Loïc Nottet?
Loïc Nottet was born in 1996 in the Wallonia region of Belgium. He began his career in music and dance, and had a keen interest in performance from an early age. In 2014, Loïc auditioned for The Voice Belgique and reached second place in the final of the third season, behind the winner Pagna. He was in the team of B.J. Scott. Following his Eurovision performance, he took part in and won the sixth season of the French TV show Danse avec les stars, in 2015. The performer won the Best Belgian Act category at the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards. In 2020, Loïc joined the cast of The Voice Belgique for the show’s ninth season. He returned as a coach once again for the 2026 series of the show, coaching eventual winner Clément Chevalier.
Loïc’s Eurovision journey
For the 2015 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, Belgian broadcaster RTBF internally selected Loïc to represent the nation in Vienna. Performing his song “Rhythm Inside” in the first of the Semi-Finals of the Contest, Loïc qualified to the Grand Final, coming second in his semi final with 149 points.
At the close of voting in the 2015 Grand Final, Loïc’s “Rhythm Inside” placed fourth. The Belgian entry scored a total of 217 points, giving Belgium its first top five placement since 2003. It received the 12 points from three countries; Netherlands, France and Hungary.Â
