🇮🇹 Marco Mengoni releases new single “Giornate perse”

Two-time Italian Eurovision representative Marco Mengoni is back with a new single. The “Due vite” singer, who most recently represented his country at the Contest in 2023, has released new track “Giornate perse”.

About “Giornate perse”

Italian music icon and two-time Eurovision participant Marco Mengoni has released his new single “Giornate perse”. The song is another big vocal performance from Marco, with an indie-synth ballad instrumental to the track. Marco sings on top of an organ, drums, guitar and electronic synths, creating a huge sound.

“Giornate perse”, which translates to ‘lost days’ in the English language, details the feeling of being ignored, trapped in the mundane of busy life and the loneliness that comes after a break-up. The chorus of the track translates in English to:

That it’s nothing, and it’s nothing
And don’t pay attention to what I’ve been saying lately
It’s bullshit, not pearls
They are lost days
To stand in line alone, always
Pretending not to, that nothing happened

The new single was written by Marco himself, alongside Jacopo Ettorre. Production, composition and instrumental recordings come from a team consisting of Edwyn Roberts, Fabio Rondanini, Giovanni Pallotti, Vanegas and Claudio Guarcello. The single is the latest from Marco to be released on the Epic music label, under licence to Sony Music Italy. Marco is due to take a residency at the new concept Italian venue Allo Sbagliato in Milan for much of November and December. Information and dates can be found on his social media, or on the venue website.
