Greece’s Eurovision national selection, “Sing For Greece”, is back for the upcoming 2027 contest and is due to take place in Thessaloniki in February.

More details in due course

The inaugural edition of the national selection was held at the Christmas Theatre in Athens. The 2026 edition was held at Peiraios 260 in the Tavros district of Athens. The upcoming edition will therefore mark the first time that the show will be held elsewhere than the Greek capital.

Whilst the exact dates are yet to be confirmed, we can expect two semi-finals and a grand final to take place in February 2027.

The return of “Sing For Greece” follows two consecutive top-ten finishes at Eurovision. Klavdia finished sixth with “Asteromáta” in 2025, before Akylas secured tenth place with “Ferto” in 2026.

The submissions window for the upcoming contest is already open and will close on November 1.

Greece’s Eurovision History

In 1974, Greece made its debut to the Eurovision Song Contest with “Krasi, thalassa ke t’agori mou” which placed 11th. Since then they have participated on 44 occasions (41 of which made the Grand Final), and have won once, in 2005.

Greece’s most recent Eurovision participation saw them being represented by Akylas with the song “Ferto”. Following his performance, Greece qualified for the Grand Final, finishing in 10th place. He earned a total of 220 points, of which 53 were from the national juries and 147 were from the televoters.
