Join The Team

The team at That Eurovision Site is always looking for new volunteers to join us! We’re an up-and-coming Eurovision news website that covers a wide range of topics from Eurovision itself to its sister shows, new releases and when the Contest shows up in unexpected places. We’re looking for people with a passion for covering the show and using their skillset to create the best content we can.

We’re looking for writers, editors, podcasters, graphic designers and social media coordinators, to name just a few. And, if you’re not entirely confident on one skill – don’t worry, we can help to train you!

These are the roles that are currently available at That Eurovision Site:

  • Staff Writer
  • Editor (Podcasts)
  • Editor (Videos)
  • Social Media Coordinator
  • Graphic Designer

To give you a sense of what we’re looking for, here’s some extra information you might be looking for before you #JoinUs!

Who is eligible to join us?

Anyone who is over 18 years of age is welcome to apply. As it’s a voluntary role, don’t worry about being a professional; although anyone who has experience in a specific role will be particularly considered.

What can you expect from the role?

Joining the team is entirely voluntary, so we want to make it fun and exciting for you to join the team. We might still be relatively new, but the team at That Eurovision Site is tight knit, with a great level of camaraderie between all our members, coming from all walks of life around the world. We try to strike the balance between work and fun, as we understand everyone has real lives outside of the Eurovision bubble. That said, we do expect some dedication to the site, with a particular availability in the run-up to the Contest. If you have any questions, feel free to mention them in your application and we can discuss it further.

What do we expect from you?

As we have a number of roles available, there’s many opportunities for you to get involved – such as writing, recording, reviewing and interviewing.  Our main ask is that you are comfortable in expressing yourself in English. We have a style guide and some editorial rules that need to be adhered to, but if you have something to say – or have any suggestions for new content – we’re all ears! Ultimately, we’re looking for people who are passionate about the Contest and can provide top-notch content that fits in our style.

We also want to stress that you need to be able to work as part of a team. In order to make the best content we can, we need to have an open dialogue and collaboration. It also makes the job more worthwhile, strengthening the team and ensuring you have the best time possible working with us!

Will I get accreditation to next year’s Eurovision?

Joining the team at That Eurovision Site doesn’t automatically entitle you to accreditation for next year’s Contest. As we’re relatively new, opportunities for accreditation are extremely limited and it’s up to the senior staff of the site to decide who goes, depending on their relevant skillsets, contributions to the site and their demeanour. Accreditation to National Finals can be considered individually.

Sounds great to me! How can I apply?

We’re grateful you want to join our team! If you want to send off an application or register your interest for joining, fill in the Google Doc form below. When filling in the form, please tell us what role you wish to apply for and tell us how your skillset matches the role. Once you have finished, someone from the team will be in touch. Good luck!

The form is best opened on a laptop or a desktop. If you are on a mobile device, use this link.

We do receive numerous applications forms for those interested in joining the team. However, we cannot always make sure that we get to everyone. If you are successful in your application, we will be in touch.
