Following an online vote between 10 artists, Miks Galvanovskis has been announced as the winner of the Supernova wildcard round, and will join the other 16 previously-announced artists competing in the semi-final on 5th February with the song I’m Just A Sinner.

What we know about Supernova 2022
LTV first confirmed the return of the National Final format in August. The submission window for Supernova 2022 opened October 7 and closed December 7. LTV revealed that they received 130 songs for Supernova 2022.
The Semi-Final is due to take place on February 5, with the final taking place a week later on February 12. More details about the format will be revealed in due course.
Latvia’s Eurovision Journey
Latvia made their Eurovision debut in 2000, finishing 3rd with “My Star” by Brainstorm. They have performed at every contest since and managed to win in 2002. Marie N sang “I Wanna,” scoring 176 points and bringing Eurovision to Riga in the process. Latvia also managed to finish in the top 10 two more times, in 2005 and 2015. Latvia’s most recent entry on the Eurovision stage was Samanta Tīna, who performed “The Moon Is Rising.” The song failed to qualify, finishing 17th in its semi-final.
