Eurvision-2022-Turin

It has been confirmed that Parco del Valentino will host the 2022 Eurovision Village in Turin. The confirmation comes from the La Città di Torino. This is in cooperation with Italian broadcaster Rai and the EBU.

Details about Eurovision Village 2022.

Dates: The Village will be open from Saturday May 7th until Saturday May 14th.

About the location: The Parco del Valentino was the very first public garden opened in Italy. It was opened in 1856. It will be a hub for all Eurovision fans to connect throughout the week of Eurovision 2022. Parco del Torino is around 7 minutes drive from the city centre and around a 30-minute walk. It is a 10-minute drive from the Pala Alpitour Arena, for long-distance walkers it is a 45-minute walk away from the arena to the Eurovision Village.

What do we know so far: The village has been equipped with a stage and a video wall, this will be used for the 2022 artists to perform there throughout the week, alongside others who will be confirmed at a later date. It will also be used to screen the three live shows taking place on the 10th, 12th and 14th May. Covid restrictions will be in place and they will be communicated nearer the time of the contest.

Eurovision Song Contest 2022

Italy won the right to host the 2022 Eurovision Contest after Måneskin won the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. Since then, Turin was selected to host the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, which is due to take place on 10th, 12th, and 14th May. It’s been revealed that 41 countries will be competing in the 66th edition of the competition with Armenia & Montenegro returning to the competition.

The slogan for this year’s Eurovision is The Sound of Beauty, and you can see more about how the stage fits in with the concept here!
