What did we learn about Amanda Georgiadi Tenfjord’s staging?
Greece is bringing the drama to Turin. Amanda is on stage, with a blue backdrop. The Greek representative shares the stage with fallen over chairs and is wearing a beautiful long and silver-white dress. It is dramatic, captivating, and very effective. Amanda’s vocals have an echo, adding to the haunting feeling the staging creates.

About Amanda Georgiadi Tenfjord
Amanda’s participation at the Contest was revealed by last year’s Greek entrant Stefania during ERT’s “Studio 4” program. The half-Norwegian, half-Greek singer Amanda Georgiadis Tenfjord is 24 years old and writes pop music “that makes you feel alive,” according to her official website. The Line of Best Fit labelled her “a blossoming new talent” in 2018 after new Nordic music festival by:Larm presented her with the Forbildeprisen (“Role Model Award” – previous recipients include Aurora). Wonderland described her as “carving out irresistible pop melodies.”
Greece’s Eurovision Journey
One of the early participants in the Contest, Greece made their Eurovision debut in 1974. Marinella represented Greece on their first appearance, singing “Krasi, Thalassa Ke T’ Agori Mou”. The first Greek entry finished in 11th place, with 7 points.
In the modern era, Greece had constant success, winning the Contest for the first time in 2005. Represented by Helena Paparizou’s “My Number One”, Greece won the 50th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Greece would go on to host the Contest in Athens the following year. Greece continued to qualify every year until it missed its first final in 2016. Another non-qualification hit the country in 2018, ruining the country’s qualification streak.
For the 2021 Contest, Greek-Dutch artist Stefania represented Greece in Rotterdam. Performing her song “Last Dance”, Stefania took Greece to the final and gave Greece their first top 10 placing since 2013. At the close of voting, Greece finished in 10th place with 170 points.
