Today rehearsals for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 kicked off. Countries rehearsing on Day 2 include Portugal, Croatia, Denmark, Austria, Greece, Iceland, Norway and Armenia. Next to rehearse today was Armenia’s Rosa Linn.

Rosa Linn’s first rehearsal

The next act to take to the Eurovision 2022 stage at the Pala Alpitour in Turin was Armenia’s Rosa Linn. She will sing the song “SNAP” at Eurovision 2022 after she was selected to represent Armenia earlier this year.

Following Rosa Linn’s first rehearsal, a clip of her rehearsal was posted on TikTok. The clip showed her before and after she took to the Eurovision stage for the first time. The clip also gave us some insight into how well her first rehearsal went.

What did we learn about Rosa Linn’s staging?

Many people were hoping and expecting some big staging, and Rosa Linn doesn’t disappoint! There is an entire bedroom on stage. The white bedroom is made of post-it notes, as is the furniture. The Armenian delegation has confirmed to eurovision.tv that the walls are constructed from reinforced paper. During the performance, Rosa Linn tears some of the notes off the wall, revealing lyrics and other messages.

About Rosa Linn

Rosa Linn is a 21-year-old singer, songwriter and producer from Vanadzor, Armenia. She is a part of Nvak, a programme run by Tamar Kaprelian (Armenia 2015) for young musicians. Armenian head of delegation David Tserunyan describes her as “a small town girl with a big heart and her own story”. In an interview with Flaunt Magazine, she mentions having the ambition to become “Armenia’s first global music artist.”

Armenia’s Eurovision Journey

In 2006, Armenia made their debut into the Eurovision Song Contest, where André represented the nation with his entry “Without Your Love”, which managed to place 8th overall. Since their debut, Armenia has participated 13 times; 10 of which they made the Grand Final. Their best result was both in 2008 and 2014, where they managed to place 4th with Sirusho and “Qele Qele” and Aram MP3 with “Not Alone”. Armenia was due to participate at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest, with Athena Manoukian due to represent them with the song “Chains on You”. Unfortunately, the contest was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
