Today rehearsals for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 are continuing. Countries rehearsing on Day 4 include Ireland, North Macedonia, Estonia, Romania, Poland , Montenegro, Belgium, Sweden and Czech Republic. First to rehearse today was Ireland’s Brooke.
Brooke’s first rehearsal
The next act to take to the Eurovision 2022 stage at the Pala Alpitour in Turin was Ireland’s Brooke. She will sing the song “That’s Rich” at Eurovision 2022 after she was selected to represent Ireland earlier this year.
Following Brooke’s first rehearsal a clip of her rehearsal was posted on TikTok. The clip showed her before and after she took to the Eurovision stage for the first time. The clip also gave us some insight into how well her rehearsal went.

What did we learn about Brooke’s staging?

Brooke is wearing blue ensemble. Brooke makes use of the LEDs on the floor in her performance. Ireland appear to have added two more backing dancers to the performance that we have been seeing at pre-parties. Brooke was also praised by the live blog for her vocal performance in her rehearsal today. There is pyro in Brooke’s stage show! This will surely bring the party in the second half of the semi-final.
What did we think of Ireland’s first rehearsal?
Rosie has given her initial thoughts and opinions on Brooke’s staging. You can see what she thought on our TikTok page here:

About Brooke
Brooke hails from Bellaghy, County Derry, in Northern Ireland, and first rose to prominence when she competed in The Voice UK 2020. She was mentored by Meghan Trainor, and placed third in the competition. Since then, she released her first single, “Attention”, before her participation in The Late Late Show selection.
She will perform her Eurovision 2022 entry, “That’s Rich”, in the second half of the second semi-final on 12th May 2022.
Ireland‘s Eurovision Journey
In 1965, Ireland made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest with Butch Moore and the song “Walking the Streets in the Rain”, which managed to place 6th. Since their debut, Ireland has participated 54 times (making the Grand Final 45 times), and has won the competition seven times, which is currently the record for most wins.
Ireland’s latest Eurovision participation saw them being represented by Lesley Roy, with the song “MAPS”. She placed 16th in the semi-final, receiving 20 points from the jury and televote.

Brooke would refer to her hometown as Derry, not Londonderry. It’s a very political situation and would be appreciated if it were corrected. Thank you!
