Today rehearsals for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 are continuing. Countries rehearsing on Day 4 include Ireland, North Macedonia, Estonia, Romania, Poland, Montenegro, Belgium, Sweden and Czech Republic. Next to rehearse today was North Macedonia’s Andrea.
Andrea’s first rehearsal
The next act to take to the Eurovision 2022 stage at the Pala Alpitour in Turin was North Macedonia’s Andrea. She will sing the song “Circles” at Eurovision 2022 after she was selected to represent North Macedonia earlier this year.
Following Andrea’s first rehearsal a clip of her rehearsal was posted on TikTok. The clip showed her before and after she took to the Eurovision stage for the first time. The clip also gave us some insight into how well her rehearsal went.

What did we learn about Andrea’s staging?

Wearing black, Andrea is singing alone on stage and is supported by graphics and lighting. The live blog also confirms that she uses the lift bridges over the water feature as graphic screens. The only other act that has used this so far is Molodva. The live blog concludes that the performance is really impactful, which in turn gives Andrea’s vocals some space to shine.

About Andrea
Andrea is a relative newcomer to the music industry, having only been releasing music since the end of 2020. She previous attended Skopje’s Academy of Music Arts. Her six singles are available to listen to on her YouTube channel, with her most successful of these being “I Don’t Know Your Name”.
North Macedonia‘s Eurovision Journey
The upcoming year will see North Macedonia’s 21st participation at Eurovision. The ex-Yugoslav nation made its formal debut in the Contest in 1998 with Vlado Janevski’s “Ne zori, zoro”. Performing last, North Macedonia finished 19th out of 25.
Following Kaliopi’s participation in 2012 with “Crno i Belo”, North Macedonia began a 6-year non-qualification streak. Tamara Todevska’s participation in 2019 broke the streak with her song, “Proud” – which finished in 7th place, winning the jury vote.
In 2021, Vasil represented North Macedonia, after his initial participation was hampered by the coronavirus pandemic. Singing “Here I Stand”, Vasil performed in the first semi-final, finishing in 15th place out of 16. In total, Vasil received 23 points.
