Today rehearsals for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 are continuing. Countries rehearsing on Day 4 include Ireland, North Macedonia, Estonia, Romania, Poland , Montenegro, Belgium, Sweden and Czech Republic. Last to rehearse today was the Czech Republic’s We Are Domi.
We Are Domi’s first rehearsal
The last act to take to the Eurovision 2022 stage at the Pala Alpitour in Turin was the Czech Republic’s We Are Domi. They will sing the song “Lights Off” at Eurovision 2022 after they were selected to represent the Czech Republic earlier this year.
Following We Are Domi’s first rehearsal a clip of their rehearsal was posted on TikTok. The clip showed them before and after she took to the Eurovision stage for the first time. The clip also gave us some insight into how well their rehearsal went.
What did we learn about We Are Domi’s staging?
Closing the second semi-final, Czechia are going all out with their performance. Despite being called ‘Lights Off’, We Are Domi are using practically every light possible in their staging, which will easily create a big finish to proceedings on May 12th. Dominika, Benjamin and Casper are also incredibly present onstage with their instruments, including Casper’s custom-made bow guitar. What a way to end the show!

What we thought about Czechia’s first rehearsal
Following the release of the rehearsal clip, Rosie shared her initial thoughts and reaction to We Are Domi’s first rehearsal.
About We Are Domi
Benjamin Rekstad, Casper Hatlestad, and Dominika Haskova met as students at Leeds College of Music, and formed (We Are) Domi in 2018. Since then, they have released six singles, including “Let Me Follow” and “Come Get Lost”.
Czech Republic’s Eurovision Journey
The Czech Republic first appeared on the Eurovision stage in 2007. Their entry, Kabát with the song “Malá Dáma,” finished 28th in the semi-final. After not qualifying three years in a row, the Czech Republic withdrew from the contest until 2015. They first appeared in a Eurovision final in 2016, with “I Stand” being sang by Gabriel Gunčíková. Their best result to date was in 2018, with Mikolas Josef’s performance of “Lie to Me” scoring 281 points and finishing 6th. The Czech Republic’s most recent entry was “Omaga” by Benny Cristo, who finished 15th in his semi-final with 23 points.
