Today rehearsals for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 are continuing. Countries rehearsing on Day 4 include Ireland, North Macedonia, Estonia, Romania, Poland, Montenegro, Belgium, Sweden, and the Czech Republic. Next to rehearse today was Sweden’s Cornelia Jakobs.
Cornelia Jakobs’ first rehearsal
The next act to take to the Eurovision 2022 stage at the Pala Alpitour in Turin was Sweden’s Cornelia Jakobs. She will sing the song “Hold Me Closer” at Eurovision 2022 after she was selected to represent Sweden earlier this year.
Following Cornelia’s first rehearsal a clip of her rehearsal was posted on TikTok. The clip showed her before and after she took to the Eurovision stage for the first time. The clip also gave us some insight into how well her rehearsal went.
What did we learn about Cornelia Jakobs’ staging?
As reported by the live blog, Sweden went with the “why fix what’s not broken” mantra, and bought the same staging from Melodifestivalen to the Eurovision stage, which Sacha Jean Baptiste is responsible for. In addition, the live blog compliments the camera movement, as well as how intense the intimate performance is.
What did we think of Cornelia´s staging?
Jazzi gave her initial thoughts and reaction to Cornelia’s stage show. You can watch it over on our TikTok here:
