We Are Domi’s second rehearsal

Today we got to watch We Are Domi’s second rehearsal from the online press centre. We got an in-depth preview of how their performance will look on TV on Thursday 12th May, when they perform in the second Eurovision semi-final. You can watch a small clip of their second rehearsal here!

What did we see in the Czech Republic’s second rehearsal?

The performance opens with a shot of electrical chords before panning across Ben to Dominika who is sat under his sampler. Dominika walks to the centre of the stage in time for for the first chorus, where we see statues on both sides of the LED backdrop. In the high note , all the lights in the arena get used in flashes and swoops of beaming white that create a moment onstage whilst Dominika jumps around the stage.

In the second verse, Dominika ambles over to Caspar and interacts with him, while a silhouetted Caspar plays his guitar with a bow. Going into the second chorus, she faces the stage as all the lights go out in the arena right before the beat kicks back in. The LED stage then has a white border, which brings the band into focus. The second chorus then brings back the light show in time for the middle-eight, where the colours turn purple and a bust of a Greek statue is shown on the LED floor. For the final chorus, the LED stage turns red as all the statues get blown apart, and the final shot sees Dominika make one last trip around the stage before being joined by Caspar and Ben in the middle of the stage smiling.
