๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Our ranking of the American Song Contest Grand Final

Ahead of the Grand Final of the inaugural season of the American Song Contest, Jazzi, Ben, and Tim took the time to listen to the songs competing in the Grand Final tonight, and ranked them in Eurovision style. However, before we reveal our winner, have a read of their standouts from the pack, and their rationale.

Jazzi – “The Difference” by Ni/Co

This ballad is quite modern, it does remind me of something I would hear in Melodi Grand Prix or Melfest – but thatโ€™s a good thing! Their voices blend together really well! The colors used in the staging are beautiful! The camera work of this also makes the performance quite intimate – which I like for a song of this style.

Ben – “Mr. Independent” by Grant Knoche

Grant has been a performer for a while, and it shows. He nails every step of the choreo, and his vocal stays on point. The song itself is super catchy and has a great beat. What’s even better is that he helped write the song, and he produced it himself. I think he has all the makings to be a massive pop star.

Tim – “Wonderland” by AleXa

I’m not just saying this because Cazzi Opeia co-wrote this. However, I am saying that this is my stand-out because I am a sucker for a bit of KPop, and AleXa did a great job performing this, especially in the Semi-Final where she really took it up a notch, and gave it her all.

With that in mind, it is now time to reveal our winner, we ranked the entries in Eurovision style (1-8, 10, and 12 Points for our winner). With that in mind, let’s find out our winner of this year’s American Song Contest.
