After recently confirming their participation, RTS has opened the submission window for the incoming national selection for Eurovision 2023.

Serbia wishing to try and recreate their 2022 success

Yesterday, on their official Instagram page, RTS has revealed that as previously, they will opt to choose their entry through their national selection. Srbiju na Pesmi Evrovizije 2023 submissions have began on the 1st September and will be going up until the 15th of November. The submission form and rules can be found on RTS’ official website. The semi finals and final dates have not been revealed but we can expect them to air around the end of February or beginning of March.

Last year’s edition of the selection brought a lot of fans to watch the contest due to having a high quality songs and participants taking part.

Serbia’s Eurovision journey

In 2007, Serbia made its debut as an independent country (they previously participated through Yugoslavia & Serbia & Montenegro), where they were represented by Marija ล erifoviฤ‡ with โ€œMolitva, which managed to win the competition. Since their debut, Serbia has participated 14 times (11 of which, where they qualified for the Grand Final).

Their recent participation saw them being represented by Konstrakta, with the song โ€œIn Corpore Sanoโ€. At this yearโ€™s competition, Serbia managed to qualify for the Grand Final, where they placed 5th after receiving 312 points from the jury and televoters.
