The upward trajection of Rosa Linn is continuing following her Eurovision participation. Her entry to this year’s Contest – ‘SNAP’ – is now the second-most streamed song from the Contest on the streaming platform Spotify.
Crunching the Spotify stats
Following the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, ‘SNAP’ has gone on a long journey. The song immediately went viral on Tiktok, rocketing up the charts in several countries, including the United States. As a result, Rosa Linn was signed to Columbia Records, with a new video for the song released. Rosa has since gone on to appear on several shows including the Late Late Show with James Corden.
As a result, ‘SNAP’ amassed a large listening on Spotify. It has now been confirmed that the song has overtaken MÃ¥neskin’s ‘Zitti e buoni’ to become the second-most streamed song from the Contest on the platform. As of the time of writing, ‘SNAP’ has been streamed a total of 358.5 million times. The only other Eurovision song in front of Rosa Linn is Duncan Laurence’s winning song ‘Arcade’. Similarly to ‘SNAP’, the winning song of Eurovision 2019 went viral on Tiktok and increased it worldwide reach. ‘Arcade’ currently stands with nearly 850 million streams on Spotify.
However, Rosa Linn has not forgotten her Eurovision roots. She, along with Junior Eurovision winner Maléna, will perform at the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest, held in Yerevan. She will appear as an interval act in the course of the show.
Armenia’s Eurovision history
In 2006, Armenia made their debut into the Eurovision Song Contest, where André represented the nation with his entry “Without Your Love”, which managed to place 8th overall. Since their debut, Armenia has participated 14 times; 11 of which they made the Grand Final. Their best result was both in 2008 and 2014, where they managed to place 4th with Sirusho and “Qélé Qélé” and Aram MP3 with “Not Alone”.
After two years away from the Contest, Armenia returned to participate at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, with Rosa Linn performing “SNAP”. Rosa qualified for the final and finished in 20th place with 61 points.
