Austria will be represented by Teya and Salena, after having been selected in late January. Now, with national final season coming to an end, ORF revealed a glimpse into the music video for their entry.

In the 14-second clip, Teya and Salena sit at a table, whilst various characters react in a shocking manner. A synth sound gradually emerges, culminating in a choir singing the melody of the song. The video teaser ends with Salena asking “who the hell is Edgar?” in a demeaning tone, before cutting to black.

“Who the Hell is Edgar?” will be revealed on ร–3-Wecker on March 8th (Wednesday). The song is set to be played at around 07:30 CET. In addition to this, Teya and Salena will personally introduce themselves and their song.

Austria’s Eurovision journey

In 1957, Austria made their debut into the Eurovision Song Contest, where Bob Martin represented the landlocked nation with the song “Wohin, kleines Pony?”. At the close of voting, it manages to place 10th overall. Since their debut, Austria has participated 54 times (being in the final 47 times), and have won the competition on two occasions (1966 and 2014 respectively).

In 2021, Austria was represented by duo LUM!X and Pia Maria with the song “Halo”, where they managed to placed 15th in the semi-final; receiving 42 points from the professional juries and televoters.
