🇦🇲 Brunette to represent Armenia with “Future Lover” at Eurovision 2023

Armenia are the latest country to have revealed their entry for Eurovision 2023! Brunette will perform “Future Lover” on the Liverpool stage in May.

An internal selection for Armenia once again

Armenia have continued this year to choose their Eurovision entry through an internal selection. Brunette has seen significant success in Armenia in recent years, with singles such as NightSmoke Break and Light Blue Eyes achieving millions of views on YouTube. AMPTV’s Executive Director, Hovhannes Movsisyan, has said that the international success of Rosa Linn’s song “Snap”, alongside their hosting of Junior Eurovision last year, has made Eurovision an exciting prospect for Armenian artists.

Following the semi-final allocation draw, Armenia will compete in the first half of the second semi-final on the 11th May.

Armenia’s Eurovision Journey

In 2006, Armenia made their debut into the Eurovision Song Contest, where André represented the nation with his entry “Without Your Love”, which managed to place 8th overall. Since their debut, Armenia has participated 14 times; 11 of which they made the Grand Final. Their best result was both in 2008 and 2014, where they managed to place 4th with Sirusho and “Qélé Qélé” and Aram MP3 with “Not Alone”.

After two years away from the Contest, Armenia returned to participate at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, with Rosa Linn performing “SNAP”. Rosa qualified for the final and finished in 20th place with 61 points The song became a viral hit following the contest.
