Today the rehearsals for Eurovision 2023 continue in Liverpool. Countries rehearsing on Day 3 include Estonia, Iceland, Greece, Poland, Slovenia, Georgia, San Marino, Austria, Albania, Lithuania and Australia. The fourth to rehearse today is Poland’s Blanka.
Blanka’s first rehearsal
The next to take to the Eurovision 2023 stage at Liverpool Arena in Liverpool was Poland’s Blank. Blanka will be competing in this year’s competition with her entry “Solo” following on her win in the national selection .
Following Blanka’s first rehearsal a clip of what went on was posted on the official TikTok account of the Eurovision Song Contest. The clip showed Blanka before and after she took to the Eurovision stage for the first time, as well as giving us some insight into how well her first rehearsal went.
What did we learn about Poland’s staging?

Blanka has taken to the stage in a lovely purple and orange dress with some glitter accents. According to the official liveblog, Poland are leaning into the summer vibes of the song, including some tropical graphics. Blanka is accompanied by four backing dancers here, and some notable aspects of her performance will include a costume change as well as an added dance break and some fireworks to end the song with a bang.

Who is Blanka
Blanka (full name Blanka Stajkow) in a 23 year old model, turned singer-songwriter hailing from Szczecin in Poland. Her aspirations for a music career began while she was a teenager, and took her to the United States to hone her musical talents/
Her entry ‘Solo‘ is first ever single to chart; having been released late last year, and reached 4th in the Polish charts. The song was written by herself in collaboration with Marcin Górecki, Maciej Puchalski, Bartłomiej Rzeczycki, and Mikołaj Trybulec,
Poland’s Eurovision Journey
In 1994, Poland made their debut at the Eurovision Song Contest, when Edyta Górniak represented them with the song “To nie ja!”, and placed 2nd (which is Poland’s best result at the contest to date). Since then, Poland has participated 24 times (15 of which was in the Grand Final). Poland’s recent Eurovision participation, saw them being represented by Ochman, who competed with “River”. Qualifying for the final, at the close of voting, he managed to place 12th with 151 points from the Jury and Televoters.
